Slaven Bilic: 'Dimitri Payet makes other players better'

French playmaker Dimitri Payet improves his West Ham United teammates, according to manager Slaven Bilic.

Slaven Bilic has hailed the positive impact that Dimitri Payet has on his West Ham United teammates.

Following his summer arrival from Marseille, the playmaker made a good start to life at Upton Park, but he was then sidelined by a knee injury in November.

However, having recently returned to fitness, Payet scored once and assisted another goal as the Hammers recorded a 3-1 win away at Bournemouth this evening.

Speaking about the 28-year-old, Bilic said: "We waited for him to come back and he makes a difference.

"Dimitri is an individual in the last third but with his presence he makes the other players better and that is why we got him."

Payet has scored six goals for the East Londoners this term.
