Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Richard Stearman has said that his side are ready for the beginning of the new Championship season.
On Tuesday night, Kenny Jackett's outfit netted twice in the final 18 minutes to draw 2-2 with Aston Villa, and Stearman has admitted that it was "pleasing" to see the Molineux club fight back against their Premier League opponents.
The 27-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "I thought that was by far the best we've played all pre-season.
"You could see the desire and the hunger was there in big amounts and I think we thoroughly deserved to get something out of the game. It was pleasing to fight our way back twice and show great character. It sets us up nicely for the season."
Wolves complete their pre-season campaign on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Doncaster Rovers.
