Wolverhampton Wanderers have ended their interest in free agent Kei Kamara following the arrival of Yannick Sagbo on loan.
Hull City striker Sagbo joined the Championship side on Tuesday on a short-term deal until January.
Wolves had been assessing Kamara during a trial period, but manager Kenny Jackett has revealed that a work permit issue involving the former Middlesbrough forward caused the club to look elsewhere.
"We had Kei in for training for a few days but the work permit situation is a difficult one," he told Wolves' official website. "It wasn't really possible on a short term deal so unfortunately it is not something we are going to pursue now."
Wolves continue their Championship campaign on Wednesday when they entertain Huddersfield Town.
