Nico Rosberg keen to maintain form in 2016

Nico Rosberg admits that he is already looking forward to the 2016 season after picking up his third straight win at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Nico Rosberg has suggested that he is eager to get his 2016 campaign underway after finishing the 2015 season with three consecutive Grand Prix victories.

The German saw his world title aspirations slip away at October's United States Grand Prix, after his mistake handed Lewis Hamilton a win in Texas and a third drivers' championship.

However, Rosberg triumphed in Abu Dhabi and is keen to keep his good run going into the start of next season in Australia.

He told a press conference: "Austin was the low point of the season, since then I've come back a lot stronger and I'm very happy about that. I'm very excited about how the end of the season went. Next year can come tomorrow if it were up to me, no problem, I don't need any holiday!

"I look forward to it next year, I'm sure it's going to be another great year, I'm sure the team is going to give us another awesome car again. Of course we're aware of the threat from the red guys [Ferrari] and we don't want them to come too close.

"We'll give it everything over the winter and I'll try and keep the current form into the start of next year."

Rosberg has finished second in the drivers' standings in the last two seasons.
