The Olympic Stadium could be turned into part of a Formula 1 track after the London Games.
The transformation could come about under one of the bids currently under consideration after plans for a grand prix circuit were revealed by Intelligent Transport Services in conjunction with F1.
The proposal would allow another British race during the world championship in and around the stadium in East London.
The original plans for West Ham United to lease the £486m stadium broke down last year after legal disputes.
The Hammers are still one of the bids under consideration, along with Leyton Orient and the UCFB College of Football Business.
The London Legacy Development Corporation have said that all bids will be assessed before any negotiations over the future of the stadium begin.
