World number one Rory McIlroy has spoken of his delight after recording his first professional hole in one at the Abu Dhabi Championship.
The 25-year-old's nine-iron shot at the 177-yard 15th helped him to finish the day two shots behind leader Martin Kaymer.
"It was a perfect number, straight downwind 177 yards, and it took a nice little hop to the right, so obviously the beers are on me tonight," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.
"It wasn't one of my goals for the year but it's a nice little bonus."
McIlroy's ace was the third of the week in the Championship, following efforts from Tom Lewis and Miguel Angel Jimenez.
