Sweden's Jonas Blixt secured his maiden PGA title in California by the narrowest of margins, winning the Frys.com Open by a single shot.
Blixt trailed overnight leader John Mallinger by two shots going into the final round, but quickly reduced the deficit with a pair of birdies in his opening two holes.
The 28-year-old secured his first win on the PGA tour with a superb 10-foot birdie putt on the 17th to put the Swede clear of the chasing pack.
Overnight leader Mallinger could only hole a one-over round of 72 to slip down the field to 14th, while Vijay Singh closed with an impressive round of 68 to finish fourth.
A shock win for Blixt earned him a winner's cheque for £900,000 and made him the third rookie to win on the PGA tour so far this season.
