Henrik Stenson has recorded a second-round score of 66 to move two shots clear at the top of the leaderboard at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
The defending champion made seven birdies to replace first-round leaders Rory McIlroy, who has already won the Race to Dubai, and Shane Lowry going into the weekend's action.
McIlroy hit a two-under-par round of 70 on Friday while Lowry registered a 71, although he did hit a hole-in-one on the 204-yard 13th.
Danny Willett and Richie Ramsey have joined McIlroy in second place, while a round of 66 from Justin Rose was enough to move him alongside Lowry in fifth position.
World number six Sergio Garcia made progress up the leaderboard after a disappointing opening round, but he still remains eight shots off the pace.
