Team Wales gymnast Francesca Jones to 'relax and enjoy' final day of gymnastics

Team Wales gymnast Francesca Jones intends to relax and enjoy the final day of rhythmic gymnastics competition after winning her second silver medal of Glasgow 2014.

Francesca Jones has insisted that she just wants to enjoy tomorrow's final day of the Commonwealth Games rhythmic gymnastics after winning a pair of silver medals for Wales on the opening two days in Glasgow.

After winning silver in the team event yesterday, Jones's score of 57.350 in the individual all-around this afternoon saw her finish behind Canada's Patricia Bezzoubenko, with Welsh teammate Laura Halford taking bronze.

These Games will be Jones's last as a competitive gymnast and she says that expectations have already been exceeded, even though she has the chance to win four more medals in the hoop, ball, club and ribbon apparatus finals tomorrow morning.

When asked if she was targeting a first Commonwealth gold tomorrow, Jones told Sports Mole: "We couldn't do any more than what we've just done the last two days. I wouldn't ask for any more. Tomorrow's just for pure pleasure.

"It's been two years of pushing for this and it's going to be my last competition ever so I'm just going to go out and enjoy it and put on a show for the crowd who have come to see us."

Jones, who was chosen to fly the Welsh dragon at the opening ceremony, now has three Commonwealth silver medals after she achieved silver in the hoop discipline four years ago in Delhi.
