Manchester City had five times more fans than Manchester United at parades?

Police records reportedly show that Manchester City had five times more fans than rivals Manchester United during their respective parades in 2011.

Manchester City had the support of five times more fans that their local rivals Manchester United did in their respective open-top bus parades in 2011.

Police figures have shown that the blue half of Manchester came out to celebrate in the streets of the city when their club clinched the FA Cup two years ago, while United struggled to pull in the same amount when they won their 19th Premier League title.

The Greater Manchester Police recorded that over 60,000 people lined the pavements to see manager Roberto Mancini and his players, while around 12,000 braved the downpour to celebrate United's title victory, according to the Manchester Evening News.

While the Red Devils have already booked their parade for winning this season's title on Monday evening, City could also take to the streets again if they beat Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup final next month.
