Amir Khan aims to do full-time charity work when he retires from boxing

British boxer Amir Khan reveals that he intends to do full-time charity work when he retires from the sport.

British boxer Amir Khan has revealed that he wants to dedicate his life to charity work when the time comes to hang up his gloves.

The 28-year-old has been inspired to do more for others after leading a convoy of goods to Greek island Lesbos to help refugees.

The Bolton-born sportsman personally handed out clothes, shoes and toiletries to stricken families, the majority of whom had fled the conflict in Syria.

"I want to help make a difference and help people around the world," the Daily Mail quotes Khan as saying. "It will give me another adrenaline buzz like boxing does. God has blessed me by putting me into this position.

"I'm not like I used to be. Them days I've put behind me. I know I could go and buy anything I wanted, but I would rather do charity work now."

Meanwhile, reports have claimed that Khan's camp hope to open talks with Manny Pacquaio regarding a potential bout in the ring.
