Harlequins hold on to beat London Irish at the Stoop.

Harlequins bounced back from defeat to beat London Irish 30-23 this afternoon at the Stoop.

Irish fullback Tom Homer fired the visitors ahead with two minutes gone when he crossed over the line and converted to hand his side a seven-point lead.

Quins fly-half Nick Evans's penalty reduced the deficit before converting Tom Casson's try to edge in front. However, Homer added two penalties to his tally to send the Irish in ahead at the break.

Wing Tom Williams beat the Irish defence to launch the home side back in front after the restart. Dan Care's drop goal added three to their total after Evans's second successful conversion of the contest.

Johnathan Joseph was first to put the visiting side on the board following the half, allowing Homer to add another two to tie the score.

However, Evans added a drop goal before converting Ross Chisholm's try to jump back in front at the hour mark.

Substitute Adrian Jarvis kicked a late three points for the Irish, but the home side were able to hold on to secure the win.
