Former Wales captain Matthew Rees has signed a new deal with Cardiff Blues.
The 34-year-old hooker played for the the club last season before seeing his contract expire.
Meanwhile, 27-year-old lock James Down has also returned to the Blues following a spell with London Welsh.
"Matthew brings real leadership and vast experience to our squad," coach Danny Wilson is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "He will also be working closely with our young hookers to bring them on and develop them as players.
"James had a fantastic personal season at London Welsh and his stats in the Aviva Premiership were outstanding. He is a strong lineout forward and there is no doubt he returns to Cardiff Blues a better player."
Rees was capped 60 times for Wales and made three appearances for the British and Irish Lions.
