Maria Kirilenko came out on top against Petra Kvitova to reach the semi-finals of London 2012 this afternoon.
The first set on No. 2 Court at Wimbledon was extremely close, with neither woman able to break through so they entered a tie-break.
In the breaker it was 14th seed Kirilenko who took a mini-break early on and never looked back, wrapping up the tie-break by seven points to three.
The second set started, like the first, with both women consistently holding their own serve.
However, unlike the first there was a break of serve and it went to Kirilenko in the eighth game, with the Russian serving the second out 6-3 in the next to book her place in the last four.
Kirilenko will battle with either Maria Sharapova of Russia or Belgian veteran Kim Clijsters for a place in the Olympic final.
