Spanish fourth seed David Ferrer has strolled into round three of the men's Olympic singles after he brushed aside Blaz Kavcic of Slovenia in straight sets.
Ferrer broke twice to take the opening set 6-2 in just 35 minutes on the All England Club's Court 1.
The Wimbledon quarter-finalist was in typically dogged form in the second as he ran out a 6-2 winner.
The Spaniard's victory will see him play Japanese 15th seed Kei Nishikori for a quarter-final berth.
