Half-Time Report: Michael Floyd gives Arizona Cardinals advantage

Two touchdowns from Michael Floyd gives the Arizona Cardinals a 14-6 lead over the Detroit Lions.

The Arizona Cardinals have headed into half time with a 14-6 lead over the Detroit Lions at the University of Phoenix Stadium this evening.

Drew Stanton, who has taken over as the Cardinals' starting quarterback after Carson Palmer tore his ACL, got Arizona off to a bright start, picking out Michael Floyd for a 42-yard touchdown.

A big run from Robert Hughes soon got the home side back into a promising field position, allowing Stanton to connect with Floyd for the second time.

The Lions did get off the mark before the end of the first quarter, as Matt Prater scraped a 50-yard field goal, with the ball going in off the post.

The Cardinals had chances to extend their lead further before the break, but Stanton threw two interceptions, while Andre Ellington was stopped short.

The second interception left the Lions bearing down on the endzone just before half time, but they had to settle for another Prater field goal.
