Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has expressed his belief that running back David Johnson can be a versatile weapon for his side's offense.
The Cardinals selected Johnson in the third round of the 2015 Draft out of Northern Iowa, and the 23-year-old is expected to compete with Andre Ellington for the starter's role in the backfield.
However, Arians feels that Johnson's skillset could see him play in a variety of positions for the Cardinals.
Arians told reporters: "The kid can do anything as far as a wide receiver, running back, full-back. He will find a niche quick because he can learn so much.
"And he was a good kickoff return guy. I like where our return game is, with [receiver] Britt Golden and those guys. We should be better there."
The Cardinals' offense was ranked 24th in the NFL in the 2014 season.
