Arizona Cardinals wideout Larry Fitzgerald has told Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman not to cover the "old, grizzly, washed-up veteran" when the two face off on Sunday evening.
The 32-year-old leads the team in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns this season but the wide receiver believes that Sherman should keep an eye on the other two pass catchers on the Cardinals roster.
The 11-year veteran told the team's website: "I haven't had 1,000 yards in three years, I hope he doesn't follow me. Old, grizzly, washed-up veteran. Go follow Mike [Michael Floyd] or something, or Smoke [John Brown]."
The Cardinals captain also praised Sherman, saying he was "as good as they come" and admitted he is looking forward to their meeting with their NFC West rivals.
Fitzgerald added: "Just in terms of his skill level and ability. Then you couple that with his intelligence, he's really, really special. You really don't see any holes in his game."
The former Pittsburgh Panther was drafted with the third overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft and has been selected for eight Pro Bowls during his career.
