Patrick Peterson wants Antonio Cromartie stay

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson reveals that he is trying to convince Antonio Cromartie to remain at the club for the 2015 season.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson has admitted that he is doing his utmost to convince Antonio Cromartie to remain with the club.

The 30-year-old joined the Cardinals last season from the New York Jets on a one-year deal and had an impressive season for the club.

However, Cromartie will be a free agent when the league year ends in March, leading to speculation that he could link up with former defensive coordinator Todd Bowles to re-join the Jets.

"I'm definitely trying to keep him here," Peterson told ESPN. "It's going to be tough, especially with Todd being in New York and [Cromartie] loves [New York].

"That's all he talks about is freaking New York. I'm definitely trying to get him to stay and we'll see what happens."

Cromartie recorded 49 tackles and three interceptions for the Cardinals in the 2014 season.
