The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on course for just their second win of the season having taken a 24-6 lead into half time of their NFL match against the Atlanta Falcons this evening.
The Buccaneers opened the scoring late in the first quarter when Rian Lindell converted a 30-yard field goal, but a 46-yard kick from Matt Bryant at the start of the second levelled things up once more.
The hosts moved back into the lead when Bobby Rainey produced a weaving 43-yard run into the end zone with 10:25 left in the second quarter.
The Buccaneers then extended the advantage when Mason Foster intercepted Matt Ryan's pass, returning the ball 37 yards for a touchdown.
Rainey added his second touchdown of the evening with a three-yard run late in the second quarter to give Tampa Bay a commanding lead.
Bryant closed the gap slightly with a 49-yard field goal with just over a minute of the half left, leaving the Falcons with a 18-point deficit at the break.
