Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has insisted that the time is now for the team to hand Julio Jones a new contract.
With league stars Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas both recently landing five-year, $70m (£44.8m) deals, White is of the belief that his franchise should take the time to give his teammate and fellow wideout a bumper contract of his own.
Jones had his highest totals in both receptions and yards last season, leading White to state that he is worth every penny that he could expect to be paid.
White told ESPN: "If I was the general manager, I would want to get a deal done with Julio now. I want to make sure he's paid. That's my guy.
"The longer they wait, the more it's going to cost them. It's important that he feels comfortable."
Jones has caught 26 touchdowns during his four seasons in the NFL to date.
