Half-Time Report: Philadelphia Eagles leading Buffalo Bills by seven

The Philadelphia Eagles take a 17-10 lead into the halfway stage of their NFL clash with the Buffalo Bills at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Philadelphia Eagles have taken a 17-10 lead into half time of their NFL clash with the Buffalo Bills at Lincoln Financial Field this evening.

The pre-match talk was all about the return of LeSean McCoy to Philadelphia, but it was another running back who made the early headlines when Darren Sproles found his way into the endzone from a yard out.

The Bills hit back shortly afterwards, however, when Tyrod Taylor found Sammy Watkins with a deep pass down the right for a 47-yard score to restore parity.

McCoy was being used frequently by the visitors with some success, but it was his former side that regained the lead in the second quarter when Sam Bradford combined with Nelson Agholor for a big 53-yard touchdown, giving the rookie his first career score.

Dan Carpenter reduced the deficit to four with a 38-yard field goal on the next drive, but Caleb Sturgis ensured that it would be a seven-point gap at the break with a 45-yard kick of his own in the dying stages.
