Buffalo Bills to sign Charles Clay

Charles Clay expects to complete his move to the Buffalo Bills after the Miami Dolphins opted not to match their offer.

The Buffalo Bills are expected to secure the signing of tight end Charles Clay as the Miami Dolphins have decided not to match their offer.

Buffalo have offered Clay a five-year deal, with a significant amount of their offer being tied up in guaranteed money.

The Dolphins had placed their transition tag on the 26-year-old, which gave them the opportunity to have five days to match or decline the offer.

After contemplating their situation, they have opted against matching the offer and pulled the transition tag which in turn will free up cap space.

Miami had already moved to sign a replacement after bringing in former Cleveland Browns tight end Jordan Cameron on a two-year deal last week.
