Marc Trestman has revealed that the Chicago Bears are optimistic that Charles Tillman will be able to play this weekend.
The cornerback, who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, practised yesterday for the first time this week, having sustained a knee injury against the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday.
The head coach told the team's website: "He worked today. He worked about half the reps. We'll leave it up to Charles and our trainers to see where he is. We're optimistic. But we don't know right now. That's why he's listed the way he is."
Tillman has made eight tackles and two interceptions so far this season.
