Half-Time Report: Cincinnati Bengals ahead against Jacksonville Jaguars

Mohamed Sanu scores the only touchdown of the first half to give the Cincinnati Bengals a 12-3 lead over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Cincinnati Bengals have headed into half time with a 12-3 lead over the Jacksonville Jaguars in their NFL meeting this evening.

Neither side threatened to find the endzone early in the first quarter, but a couple of big runs from Denard Robinson and Toby Gerhart got the Jaguars into a strong position late in the quarter.

Blake Bortles could not find a receiver for the touchdown, but kicker Josh Scobee split the uprights to open the scoring just before the end of the first 15.

The home side soon took the lead in the second quarter though as Andy Dalton picked out wide receiver Mohamed Sanu for a touchdown.

AJ Green thought that he had scored a touchdown on his return from a toe injury, but the score was chalked off for an offside by the wide receiver before the snap, leaving Mike Nugent to kick a field goal.

The mix up on a punt by the Jaguars shortly before the break allowed the Bengals to increase their advantage, with the home side forcing a safety.
