Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has admitted that he let his team down with a series of poor throws in their defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals.
The 38-year-old threw four interceptions during his team's loss at Paul Brown Stadium, including one that decided the match as he was picked off by Dre Kirkpatrick, who returned the ball for a touchdown to send his team to the post-season.
Manning told reporters: "That was a bad throw. The guy had good coverage. I think probably I had Emmanuel [Sanders] open over the middle, even had Julius [Thomas], think his guy might have fallen down. Definitely picked the wrong guy to throw to.
"I wasn't good. Four interceptions, you're not going to beat very many good football teams."
The Broncos still need to beat the Oakland Raiders in the final game of the season to secure a first-round bye in the playoffs.
