Cincinnati Bengals middle linebacker Rey Maualuga has revealed that his side are close to fulfilling two of the three goals that they set themselves at the start of the season.
Quarterback Andy Dalton starred for the Bengals as they thrashed the Indianapolis Colts 42-28 yesterday, maintaining their unbeaten home record this season in the process.
The result also ensured that the Bengals kept their stranglehold on the AFC North, leading the Baltimore Ravens by two wins with just three matches remaining.
"We're on a roll. At the beginning of the year, we had three goals. We wanted to be undefeated at home, win the AFC North and eventually be world champions," Maualuga told The AP.
"We're close to the goals we wanted to get to. We've got to be good from here out."
The Bengals face the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings in their next two games before a potentially crucial regular season finale against the Ravens.
