Report: Cincinnati Bengals place Leon Hall on injured reserve

The Cincinnati Bengals reportedly place cornerback Leon Hall on season-ending injured reserve due to a torn Achilles.

The Cincinnati Bengals have placed cornerback Leon Hall on season-ending injured reserve, according to a report.

Hall suffered a suspected torn Achilles during his side's 27-24 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday, although the team are yet to confirm the full severity of the injury.

However, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis did hint that Hall's season would be over and insisted that he would not bring a free agent in to replace him directly, instead choosing to give existing members of the roster a chance to step up.

"We don't have to look for anybody. We have a couple of guys that have to step up and play now. They've been sitting here on scholarship for a bit. Now it's time for them to go," Lewis told reporters.

"We're not going to get anybody off the street that's going to outplay anyone here in the building."

The Bengals are currently top of the AFC North with a 5-2 record.
