Report: Jermaine Gresham recovering from hernia surgery

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham is reportedly missing off-season workouts while he recovers from hernia surgery.

Jermaine Gresham has reportedly missed off-season workouts with the Cincinnati Bengals because he is recovering from hernia surgery.

The tight end is among a number of players to be missing from the AFC North side's organised team activities, but the reason for his absence has not been disclosed by the team.

However, ESPN reports that the 25-year-old has not been able to practise with the team as he is still recovering from the operation, but is expected to be back for the start of training camp.

With Tyler Eifert also sidelined, the team re-signed Alex Smith earlier this week to provide depth at the tight end position.
