Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine has disclosed that he is taking a bigger interest in the club's offense for the 2015 season.
Pettine has been a defensive-minded coach in his time in the NFL as he served as a defensive coordinator with the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills before his move to the AFC North side.
However, the 48-year-old has revealed that he is doing his utmost to learn as much as he can about their offense from coordinator John DeFilippo.
"I have flash cards to help me learn a lot of the formations," Pettine told reporters. "It was like being a rookie.
"I'm with [DeFilippo] every step of the way as far as, 'Here's what we're implementing today. Here's what's going in.' It's been great. I feel very rejuvenated as a coach."
The Browns finished with a 7-9 record in Pettine's first year in charge of the club.
