Dallas Cowboys' Tony Romo would recommend NFL team in London

Romo would recommend London NFL team

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has backed the idea of an NFL franchise in London in the future.

The 34-year-old played for the first time in the International Series at Wembley as he guided his team to a 31-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Romo feels that having experienced the atmosphere and the surroundings in London, he would endorse having a team permanently based in the city.

He told reporters: "I had no idea leading up to this, what to expect and I really genuinely couldn't have enjoyed this week more. "Just the people, the fans, the environment, it's one of my favourite cities in the world, and I have never been anywhere over here. And I would recommend it to anyone. So, as far as a team in London, I would recommend it."

Romo threw for three touchdowns in his side's victory over the Jaguars at Wembley.
