The Denver Broncos have built a 17-3 half-time lead over the San Diego Chargers at the Qualcomm Stadium in the NFL this evening.
The Broncos began the first half brightly and they soon found the lead through Demaryius Thomas, who latched on to an adroit three-yard pass from Brock Osweiler, leaving Brandon McManus to kick for the extra.
Denver held their ground perfectly throughout the opening period and their positioning paid off once more before the end of the first quarter, as Danny Trevathan stole in to secure a 25-yard interception return in order to give his side a 14-0 lead following another McManus kick.
With just over five minutes remaining in the second offering, McManus returned once more to notch an impressive 23-yard field goal to push Denver into a healthy advantage.
The Chargers were able to give themselves a lifeline just before the whistle, though, as Josh Lambo produced something special from all of 51 yards to take the scores to 17-3 at the interval.
