John Fox: 'Chris Harris out for the season'

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox announces that starting cornerback Chris Harris will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox has confirmed that cornerback Chris Harris is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

Harris sustained the injury in his side's AFC divisional round win over the San Diego Chargers and will leave the Broncos short of quality options in their secondary of their clash with the New England Patriots on Sunday.

"He will be out for the remainder of the season," Fox told reporters. "There's no doubt he's one of our better performers on defense this season. This team has been resilient, we'll take a next-man-up approach."

The 24-year-old had three interceptions as well as 65 tackles in the 2013 season.
