The Denver Broncos have signed cornerback Chris Harris to a new-long term deal with the club.
The 25-year-old was scheduled to be out of contract in March, but the Broncos have moved to keep one of their top performers away from the free-agent market.
Harris has signed a five-year deal with John Fox's side worth a reported $42.5m [£27m], with $24m [£15.2m] of the contract guaranteed.
"It's been a great year and it's been a crazy year," Harris told The AP. "It started with me tearing my ACL, a very low point in my career. And now it's just amazing how I feel right now."
The defensive back has recorded 44 tackles, one sack and three interceptions for the Broncos this season.
