Reggie Bush: 'I can run in all conditions'

Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush believes that he is capable of performing well in all conditions despite his error-strewn performance on Sunday.

Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush has claimed that he can run in "all conditions" despite an error-prone performance against Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Bush slipped a number of times and lost a fumble during the Lions' 37-27 loss on a wet and muddy pitch, prompting coach Jim Schwartz to claim that he struggled in such conditions.

However, the 28-year-old disagrees with his coach and believes that he is capable of adapting to any sort of surface.

"I pride myself on being able to run in all conditions, you know what I mean, and I think the opposite," Bush told reporters.

"I think running in those types of conditions is, for me, I think is better because now the defenders have to be constantly on their heels and toes, and we can get guys off-balanced in mud and when it's rainy and slippery. It's kind of an advantage to the running back.

"So I think that just, [I] didn't do a good job of running balanced, so to speak, and keeping my feet underneath me. I just didn't handle the situation well."

The Lions are currently joint-top of the NFC North and will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
