A kicker who became a YouTube sensation by posting videos of his skills online has been signed by the Detroit Lions.
Havard Rugland will compete with former San Francisco 49ers kicker David Akers for the role with the Lions, following Jason Hanson's retirement.
The 28-year-old Norwegian has never played in the NFL, but has previously had a workout with the New York Jets.
Rugland's "kickalicious" video, which has attracted almost 3 million views on YouTube, shows him completing a series of trick shots, as well as 60-yard field goals.
