The Green Bay Packers have confirmed that wide receiver Jordy Nelson has been ruled out of the 2015 season.
The 30-year-old sustained a torn ACL during his side's pre-season clash against the Pittsburgh Steelers when he attempted to turn after making a catch.
Nelson underwent an MRI on Monday where the diagnosis was confirmed, ending his campaign.
The Packers said in a statement: "It was determined that wide receiver Jordy Nelson sustained a significant right knee injury in yesterday's game at Pittsburgh. He will miss the remainder of the season."
Nelson recorded 98 receptions for 1,519 yards and 13 touchdowns in the 2014 season, earning a place in the All-Pro side.
