The Green Bay Packers medical staff are confident that quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not be sidelined after sustaining a hamstring injury.
Green Bay have a bye week in Week 9 before playing on Sunday Night Football against divisional rivals the Chicago Bears.
"So far, so good I would say is how we're looking at it," coach Mike McCarthy told reporters.
Rodgers threw for a season-high 418 passing yards and ran for a 14-yard touchdown last time out, but there was cause for concern after he tweaked his hamstring.
Meanwhile, McCarthy received an additional boost with news that DeAngelo Williams took first-team snaps in practice after recovering from an ankle injury.
