Finley "ecstatic" to remain with Packers

Jermichael Finely has said that he is "ecstatic" to be staying with the Green Bay Packers for the 2013 NFL season.

It had been reported that the tight end would be released from the team's roster if he would not agree to take a pay-cut.

The 25-year-old tweeted: "Ecstatic to be back with the Packers. Best place on earth. Thank you to my agents and family. I appreciate all that you do."

Finley has one season remaining on his current deal with the NFC North side that will earn him $8.25 (£5.45m) in the coming campaign.

He finished the 2012 season with two touchdowns for 667 receiving yards.
