Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Josh Sitton has admitted that he would rather have not made the playoffs than have suffered their heartbreaking defeat to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC championship game.
The Seahawks overturned a 12-point deficit in the final two minutes of the game to force overtime, before Russell Wilson fired a touchdown strike to Jermaine Kearse to send Pete Carroll's men into the Super Bowl.
"Anytime you feel like you should have won, it's tough to get over," Sitton told reporters. "And when it's the last one, it's very difficult to get over.
"You feel like it's a waste of seven, eight months. What's the point of getting this far? I'd have rather not even made the playoffs."
The Packers last appeared in the Super Bowl in the 2010 season.
