South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney has admitted that he expects to be selected as the first overall pick in the 2014 Draft as he makes the move into the NFL.
The Houston Texans hold the dubious honour of having the first Draft pick due to their poor 2013 performance, and Clowney said that he has a strong chance to be their choice.
"I should be [the top pick]," the San Francisco 49ers official website quotes him as saying. "Coming out of high school I told myself I wanted to go into the draft and to be the number one pick.
"I worked hard to get to this point in my life where I gave myself a great chance to go number one in the draft and hopefully I will get to be [it]. I'm going to try to prove myself at the Combine and hopefully just go up from there."
Clowney plays as a defensive end.
