The Houston Texans have said that Arian Foster is expected to return to practice this weekend.
The running back has been resting since sustaining a calf injury during the team's mini-camp earlier this year.
Head coach Gary Kubiak told the Texans' official website: "We're hoping Arian's a participant in practice on Sunday. We'll see how he does."
Foster added: "It's just got some light soreness in there, it's nothing. I can do pretty much everything, so I'm just going to take it day-by-day."
The 26-year-old recorded 1,424 rushing yards and scored 15 touchdowns for the AFC South champions last season.
