Houston Texans tight end Garrett Graham has admitted it was disappointing that Owen Daniels was released by the franchise but is confident that Ryan Griffin will be able to take over from him.
Graham signed a new deal with the Texans on Thursday and said that he is looking forward to working with new head coach Bill O'Brien in the 2014 season.
"It'll be different with Owen not here," Graham told the club's official website. "He did a lot of great things here, and he's a good friend of mine. Ryan Griffin will definitely be able to step up and do a lot of great things for us. I think we've got a good group, and it should be fun.
"[Coach] seems like an all-business kind of guy. I like what he's obviously done in New England. He seems like a very high-character guy, and obviously does a lot with the tight ends."
Graham has spent all four seasons of his NFL career to date with the Texans.
