Bob McNair: 'Case Keenum will finish season as starter'

Houston Texans owner Bob McNair reveals that Case Keenum will be his side's starter for the rest of the season following the sacking of head coach Gary Kubiak.

Houston Texans owner Bob McNair has confirmed that Case Keenum will be his side's starter for the rest of the season.

Keenum had started the past seven games for the Texans but was pulled from the side in the third quarter of their defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars and was replaced by Matt Schaub.

Then head coach Gary Kubiak revealed that Schaub was in line to start for the rest of the season but earlier today the club fired the 52-year-old.

McNair told reporters: "Case is going to be the quarterback and we're going to give him a chance."

Keenum has throw nine touchdown passes and has run in for one score himself during his seven games as the starter.
