Cecil Shorts III has penned a two-year contract with the Houston Texans, the club has confirmed.
The 27-year-old spent the past four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but was not re-signed by the club as his production dropped in the 2014 campaign.
Bill O'Brien's men moved to sign the wide receiver until the end of the 2016 season on a contract worth $6m (£4m).
Shorts has recorded 176 receptions for 2,343 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year NFL career.
