Half-Time Report: Indianapolis Colts edging out Jacksonville Jaguars in AFC South battle

The Indianapolis Colts take a 13-9 lead into the break in their clash against their AFC South rivals the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Indianapolis Colts are holding a narrow four-point lead over their AFC South rivals the Jacksonville Jaguars at the break at EverBank Field.

The Jaguars managed to make good headway into the Colts' side of the field but were held out of the endzone, leading to a field-goal attempt from Jason Myers, and the kicker had no problem sending his effort through the posts.

Indianapolis responded through a series of short completions from Matt Hasselbeck to move them into striking distance of the endzone. However, they failed to score a touchdown, leading to a 25-yard field goal from Adam Vinatieri.

The visitors continued to have success moving the ball downfield until they reached sight of the endzone as the Jaguars held them at bay again, forcing Vinatieri into action from 21 yards to hand the Colts a narrow lead.

Indianapolis scored the first touchdown of the match when Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles fumbled the ball into his own endzone and Robert Mathis downed it for a simple score.

However, the Jaguars responded when Andre Branch stripped the ball out of the grasp of Hasselbeck and returned it all the way for a 49-yard touchdown, although Myers missed the extra-point kick.
