Report: Indianapolis Colts GM brought 'deflategate' matter to NFL

A report claims that Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson was the person who brought the 'deflategate' incident to the attention of the NFL.

Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson has reportedly been named as the person who brought the 'deflategate' scandal to the attention of the NFL.

The NFL launched an investigation into claims that the New England Patriots intentionally deflated their footballs in their AFC championship win over the Colts last month.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and owner Robert Kraft staunchly denied the accusations, while a report from NFL Network has claimed that the balls were under-inflated by a few ticks off the league's regulations.

NFL executive Troy Vincent named Grigson as the individual who brought the matter to light to the league in an interview with Showtime, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

The Patriots won the AFC title game 45-7 and went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl to claim their fourth Vince Lombardi trophy.
