Indianapolis Colts' Reggie Wayne brushes off criticism

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne insists that he is still the same player that he has always been, despite a decline in his statistics this season.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne has brushed off criticism of his play this season.

The 36-year-old has struggled to match his production of previous seasons after recovering from a torn ACL sustained in the last campaign.

However, Wayne is adamant that he is still the same player that he has always been, despite his diminishing statistics.

He told reporters: "You ever heard of toilet material? That's the category I put that in. I don't buy into none of that. All I can do is do my job. Run the plays that are called, and keep it moving.

"Since I've been playing at the age of seven, everything hasn't been peaches and cream. It's my job to go out there and prove people wrong and keep going."

Wayne has recorded 50 receptions for 605 yards and two touchdowns this season.
