John Dorsey: 'We will talk with Branden Albert'

Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey reveals that the club plan to talk to free agent Branden Albert about the possibility of a new deal before his contract ends.

Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey has revealed that the club will continue to hold talks with their free agents amid reports that tackle Branden Albert was set to leave.

Reports suggested that the Chiefs were willing to let Albert test the free-agent market after they drafted Eric Fisher first overall in the 2013 Draft, saving money to spend elsewhere on the team.

However, Dorsey has said that is not the case.

He told reporters: "That's the first I've heard about it. We have ongoing conversations with all of our unrestricted free agents. It just so happens we've had conversations with Branden's representatives, and that's the beauty of the combine.

"Those guys are here. We will continue to have conversations with those representatives as the combine passes."

Albert was selected 15th overall by the Chiefs in the 2008 Draft.
