Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has not ruled out trading the top pick in the 2013 NFL draft to another team.

Andy Reid has said that the Kansas City Chiefs would trade the first pick in the 2013 NFL draft for the right player.

The Chiefs currently hold the right to pick from this year's draft of college footballers first, having finished with the worst record in the NFL in 2012.

However, the team's head coach told reporters: "Listen, yeah, we're going to evaluate everything. We're just not going to give it away. So we'd have to see what people throw our way. It's a pretty valuable pick, I'd say.

"Most of the questions have been asked about the quarterback position, but it's important that we go through and evaluate everybody. You don't go for need, you go for who the best player is, or who you perceive the best player to be."

The Chiefs could trade the pick to secure a current NFL player from another team ahead of the April draft.
